What services do you offer at Lightbloom Designs?I offer a range of creative services including website design, graphic design (flyers, brochures, posters, social media graphics, etc.), and copywriting (including social media management and post-writing services).

What happens during an initial consultation?All of my services begin with an initial consultation over phone or email, during which we’ll have a detailed conversation about your business, your goals, and your vision for the project. I’ll ask questions to understand your target audience, the purpose of your website or design, and any specific features or functionality you’d like to include. We’ll also discuss your brand style and any design preferences you may have. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions about my process, timeline, and pricing. By the end of the consultation, we should have a clear roadmap for your project, including the scope of work, a tentative timeline, and which package best fits your needs. If you’re unsure about anything, this is the perfect time to explore ideas, get my feedback, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.

What if I'm not satisfied with my design?If you aren't entirely happy with the way your project turns out, please let me know. I'll communicate with you to clarify your preferences and adjust your design accordingly. Your complete satisfaction is always my number one goal!

What makes LightBloom different from other design services?LightBloom isn't a large agency or corporate entity; I'm a self-taught, freelance designer, and as such, I offer a personalized, customer-centered approach — where your ideas and feedback are integral to the design process. Whether you're interested in a new website, promotional materials, or social media specialization, my focus is on understanding your needs and your vision. I want your project to look good — but I also want it to reflect your unique identity and values. I'm happy to address and answer any questions or concerns at any time. And if, during the initial consultation, I honestly don't think that I'm the right fit for your project, I'll be honest with you. I'm not in the business of wasting anyone's time or money.

How do I get started with a project?Getting started is easy! Just reach out via my contact form or email, and we can schedule a free initial consultation to discuss your project, goals, and how I can help.

I already have a website. How does switching from the old site to the new one work?You will need to provide me with your domain registration information. Once the new site is ready to go live, I will guide you through the process of transferring the domain from your original host to the Wix platform (if you already have your domain registered through Wix, it’s even easier!). This process can take up to a week to complete, though it’s usually done much sooner. Once complete, your domain should automatically redirect to your new website.

How do I know which design package is right for me?My packages vary based on the level of customization, number of pages, and additional features included. The Spark package is great for small, basic sites, while larger packages like Glow & Shine offer more features and customizations, making them ideal for businesses offering a wide variety of products or services. We’ll discuss your package options during your consultation, at which point I can make suggestions based on what I think your project will require.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?Yes. Each website I design comes with a fully customized mobile version, for no extra charge. However, please note that not all desktop features will be compatible with all mobile devices.

What will you need from me?This will all depend on what type of website you’re wanting. Depending on your desired outcome, some of the things I might need include (but are not limited to): images of your team and/or facility; text content; team member profiles; and any fonts, color palettes, or other design specifics you would like incorporated into the design.

How long does the design process take?Turnaround timing will vary depending upon website type, level of complexity, and how quickly I receive all necessary branding, photo, and video materials. Generally, a smaller website can be finished in 1-2 weeks, whereas a larger site may take up to a month to complete. Once we’ve discussed the finer details of your project, I’ll be able to give you a more precise estimate.

Can I request revisions or small changes during the design process?I offer simple revisions and tweaks at no extra cost during the design process to ensure your total satisfaction with the completed design. If changes exceed the scope of the chosen package or require significant additional work, we’ll discuss any additional fees.

Will I need to pay for hosting?Yes. Any website at all requires hosting; you have to pay ‘rent’ for your space on the Internet. The money you pay for hosting does not go to me, but to Wix. Pricing through Wix will vary by hosting plan, and each plan offers different features. I am more than happy to help guide you through the process of selecting the right hosting plan for your website, as well as setting up recurring billing. Note: ALL Wix hosting plans come with a free domain for your first year, if you do not already have a domain registered.

How does the website design process work?Once we’ve discussed the details of your project and you’ve selected the package that works best for you, the designing process begins. I’ll develop a custom design concept that aligns with your vision. Once the initial design is complete, you'll receive a link to a demo site, which will allow you to preview the design, provide feedback, and request changes. Once you've approved the final design, the website will be connected to your domain and launched.

What if I need updates or changes after my site is live?I offer ongoing support and maintenance as add-on services for website updates and revisions. Whether it’s small changes or larger feature additions, I’m available to help keep your site current. These services are only available for websites I have designed personally, and can only be utilized for sites that I continue to host myself through my Wix account.

What platform do you use for website design?I use Wix. I have found that it is the most user-friendly and offers an unparalleled level of design customization.

This will be my first website. Can you write the website text and descriptions for me?I definitely can! This would fall under my copywriting services, and would incur an additional fee depending on the amount of original text required for your website. I can also “proof” and edit existing text as requested.

How will I receive my finished website?Once your website is complete, I can connect an existing domain, or help you to register an original one. Then, I can either transfer complete ownership to you (so you can manage it yourself) or continue hosting and managing it on my Wix account, offering ongoing support and updates as needed.

Can I get a refund if I cancel the project?Refund policies vary by project type. For website design, partial refunds may be possible depending on how much work has been completed. However, deposits are typically non-refundable as they secure your spot and cover initial work. We can discuss these details in your contract before starting.

Are there any fees if my project needs additional revisions?Simple revisions, adjustments, and tweaks are included at no extra cost, as long as they stay within the project scope. If extra time is needed beyond what’s covered in the chosen package, additional fees may apply. I’ll keep you informed if your requests require extra billing.

What payment methods do you accept?I accept various payment methods, including credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, and mailed checks. We’ll confirm your preferred method during the initial consultation.

Do I need to pay upfront?Yes, a deposit is required to secure your project on my schedule. For website design packages, this is usually 25-50% of the total package cost. For smaller standalone design projects, I typically require a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due upon project completion.

What if I want to add on more design services after the project starts?Additional services can be added at any time! Pricing will vary depending on the new requirements. We’ll discuss any additional costs before starting on the add-ons.
